A large surface format looks best on spacious terraces and squares, big paving stones are seen as more practical and work less obtrusive, when tables, chairs and sun beds are placed on them.

Materials of a smaller format have the advantage of giving smaller surfaces a bigger and better appearance. Where space is parse, smaller pavements will allow more and finer possibilities of differentiation.
